Really, I think it's quite silly that we celebrate ourselves on our birthdays. Shouldn't we be celebrating our parents? We didn't really do anything. It was all them.
We should be celebrating the God breathed life in us!
Do you believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God? If so, MEDITATE on Pslam 139 and Jeremiah 1. Each of us is created with different characteristics, different personalities, different looks and different gifts -- it should be celebrated because it was the Potter who took the time to creatively imagine, shape, form and breath life into His clay-- such a beautiful creation! I don't celebrate myself out of pride, I celebrate it as a little girl who is excited to be alive and to be a daughter of the Most High God, and because her Heavenly Daddy loves everything about her :)
Our parents are the vessels, honey; they are not our ultimate Creator!
thanks for sharing your photos you make me smile, i hope your birthday was filled with joy and laughter and just good things...i love you :)
